David Derrico is an attorney with 15 years of experience in a variety of legal fields. Since 2010, Mr. Derrico has worked as an immigration attorney primarily focusing on the United States EB-5 immigrant investor program. He has drafted business plans, private placement memoranda, and other legal documents for over 100 Regional Center applications, and for hundreds of specific EB-5 investment projects.

Additionally, Derrico has represented hundreds of investors in applying for I-526 immigration petitions, DS-260 and I-485 applications, as well as I-829 applications for permanent U.S. residence. He has successfully obtained conditional permanent residence (“green cards”) for over 75 investors across multiple projects.

Previously, Derrico worked for four years in the litigation department of the large international law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where he assisted Chevron, Xerox, and other Fortune 500 companies in contract disputes, environmental litigation, employment law matters, white-collar criminal defense, and class actions. Mr. Derrico has experience with arbitrations, depositions, responding to SEC audits, and large merger and acquisition deals.

Derrico has also handled intellectual property matters, drafting and assisting with patent, trademark, and copyright applications.

Derrico graduated from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the law school newspaper and served on the student government. Before that, he graduated with Honors from the University of Florida with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Criminal Justice.

He is a member in good standing of the California Bar since 2002.

Derrico also has a variety of writing experience, including authoring three novels and a non-fiction book, as well as creating articles, web copy, and more. Derrico currently lives in South Florida with his wife and two young children.
